The nearby islands of Nosy Be

The small pearl of the Mozambique Channel, Nosy Be is a land of fantasy & adventure It’s many charms based on the small beautiful islands surrounding it, mainly Nosy Komba, Nosy Tanikely, Nosy Sakatia, Nosy Iranja & Nosy Mitsio.

Nosy Komba : Just minutes from Hell-Ville (Nosy Be’s capital) is Nosy Komba, which means ‘The Island of Lemurs’. You can admire the handicrafts of the local people such as sculptures, decorations and embroidery sewn by the women of the village. As it’s name suggests, Nosy Komba is home to many lemurs which are protected by ‘Fady’ (a strong superstition) and considered sacred and protected from hunters. The lemurs are attracted by fruit and you will easily be able to snap off your own original photos. Nosy Komba also hosts magnificent beaches ideal for sunbathing. The island summit reaches to an impressive 622m and the island offers several hotels and bungalows.
